    Roberto Duran’s Best win

    What is Duran’s best win?
He fought countless great fighters and shows his true merit but what do you think his best win is? I would say the first Sugar Ray fight or Iran Barkley maybe

I would say Rey Leonard because it was really a hell of a fight.

      Ray Leonard.

But the rubber match with Esteban Dejesus was the best Duran, at his best weight class.

In defeating Sugar Ray Leonard, he beat a great fighter in his prime.

        Iran Barkley was nothing special.

Ray Leonard. Duran is the only guy to defeat the legendary Leonard in his prime.

The question should be what is Duran's best win aside from Leonard...

He had many very good wins against Buchanan, DeJesus, Barkley, Palomino, Marcel, Cuevas, Moore, Kobayashi and others.

                Leonard followed by Barkley.

Barkley because he demolished Hearns and Duran lost to Hearns badly. And because Duran was allegedly a barely warm body for Barkley. Duran saw it differently.

Put that win into some context... it would be like a blown up Casamayor/Castillo/Corrales/ or name whatever lightweight and then beating an Felix Sturm/Sebastian Sylvester type fighter. Not only that, he put him on his ass.

I can't believe someone who say that the ring's fight of the year is nothing special.

Anyways in my opinion Duran's best win was vs Sugar Ray. They were both of the cusp of their prime. It was an epic fight. It made you really appreciate it when two fighters went out for 15 rounds instead of 12.
