people act like he has great Boxing skills when he does'nt he just knows how to maximise his height and reach due to Manny Steward its not like he is great defensively he does not have exceptional footwork or great upper body movement and he is not to hot offensively he gets the job done yes but we all saw how many times he fell in and left himself open against Thompson and what about when Sam Peter stook him on the backfoot and preassured him Wlad was virtually running away after the 6th round he gets disorganised when he is crowded or preasured

Wlad has height and knows how to tie up add to that his power and tactical approach post Manny Steward and that is the fighter he is nothing more ,he is a methodical tentitive non engauging typical Eastern European fighter one dimmension which may be enongh to beat Haye but lets not pretend he is better than he is eh
The Funny thing is.. if we are talking "Technical" .. Wlad is the far Superior Boxer.. Ali had way more style.. But Wlad is a textbook example of how to "BOX".. without a doubt

if you are fighting a southpaw are you going to try and punch through the target when you throw the right hand no you are going to put less on the right hand and use the right hand to shorten the distance to get into position then start unloading other shots its a set up shot when facing a Southpaw it would plain crazy to try and punch through the target in that scenario

also a lead right is not thrown with conviction either otherwise you will get KTFO if you miss

these are two different scenarios but im just illustrating there are variations to different shots

Wlad can't fight inside worth a **** and when someone gets close he hugs and holds but he does all the normal things very well. Jab, right hand, left hook, keeps good distance and controls that distance.

He keeps winning so props to him.

you start punching through the target against someone who rolls the shoulder and you will see what happens

its like a hook there are different variations to a hook sometimes you will use a long left hook and other times a short left hook depending on your distance away from the oponent etc

Before the Sanders debacle.. Wlad wasn`t too bad on the inside.

i did not mean to use Muhammad Ali as an analogy i was using Muhammad Ali skill level compared to Wlads

Wladimir has his flaws but he is good enough to beat all of today's heavyweights.

i was not trying to say Muhammad Ali was technically sound either that was just a off the cuff comment i meant in terms of skills greatness etc

Ok, he's not Muhamad Ali. We already knew that. Both would beat Haye. Thats what matters
