Wladimir is a tall robot he is not Muhammad Ali

Wladimir is a tall robot he is not Muhammad Ali

people act like he has great Boxing skills when he does'nt he just knows how to maximise his height and reach due to Manny Steward its not like he is great defensively he does not have exceptional footwork or great upper body movement and he is not to hot offensively he gets the job done yes but we all saw how many times he fell in and left himself open against Thompson and what about when Sam Peter stook him on the backfoot and preassured him Wlad was virtually running away after the 6th round he gets disorganised when he is crowded or preasured

Wlad has height and knows how to tie up add to that his power and tactical approach post Manny Steward and that is the fighter he is nothing more ,he is a methodical tentitive non engauging typical Eastern European fighter one dimmension which may be enongh to beat Haye but lets not pretend he is better than he is eh

Wlad is a technically solid boxer with sound orthodox fundamentals. He has little or no flair, he just doesn't do that much wrong.

He doesn't do anything wrong, but he never goes out of his way to dazzle or to show that he is the best heavyweight in the world

Wlad does a lot wrong dont confuse conventional with technically sound

did you watch his fight with Thompson he fell into Thompson everytime he punched ,Wlad does the same thing Pavlik does he punches through the target which is why he leaves himself open when he misses

he is also awfull when crowded and preasured

This is why more and more people are hating David Haye - it's because of his fans like you.

All boxers are taught to punch through the target... Not at the target.

Then again no one has claimed that Wladimir is Muhammad Ali.

Ali wasn't exactly technically sound either.

Wladimir has his flaws but he is good enough to beat all of today's heavyweights.

there are two variations of a right hand one where you dont turn you right hand all the way over and look to make your punch impact on the target area but you dont follow through

and the other one is where you do turn your right hand all the way over and punch through the target area not onto it

its good to find a medium between the two

well Wlad does not have a varitation to this punch either does Pavlik they go for a home run everytime they throw it and that is why you get Wlad tentively jabbing for 12 rounds against Ibragimov because he knows he leaves himself open when he throws the right hand

even Garry Lockett was able to tag Pavlik FFS
