If America has a boxer capable of beating Calzaghe his name is Chad Dawson or Antonio Tarver, but no, not Kelly Pavlik. I also don't think either of those two could beat him either, but they stand a much better chance.

Of course he has a chance. If they both fought to the best of their abilities I think Calzaghe would win but it could easily go the other way.

Thats what makes this fight so beautiful. If they both get passed there next opponents and this fight doesn't happen... It is bad for boxing I think.

Pavlik is ONE dimentional, he know one way of fighting and that is forward. He's exciting and throw alot of hard punches and can KO a guy. I enjoy watching him fight but he isn't going to beat Calzaghe if they fight anytime soon. Dawson is the one that will beat Calzaghe.

Dawson can box, move, punch. He hasn't got the greatest chin but it'l hold up against Joe. Pavlik can jab and throw a straight right. So far he hasn't faced anyone that is smart enough to get inside his punches but as soon as he doesn he'll be beaten. Dawson is the only fighter around 160-175 that can beat Calzaghe.

the demand for pavlik-calzaghe would be lowered by joe's upcoming loss to roy jones.

pavlik wont even get to hit calzaghe if he steps in the ring with him.

i think pavlik has a good chance in beating calzaghe . . . especially since he's getting older, but i dont think it is a certain thing mainly due to the similar style that pavlik has to kessler and how calzaghe did clearly beat him.
