The problem is that Boxing is simply not as popular as it once was in the US. Most US athletes go into basketball or football - two sports that are more lucrative, not as lonely nor dangerous.

It does seem like they are moving the 2004 Olympians kinda slow.
Rock Allen, Martrosyian (sp) , Dirrell and Ward haven't fought anyone great yet.
Maybe they fear a Khanning.
I don't have much hope for the heavyweights.
