These talks of him coming back has been OFF and ON . . . he better stay where he is rightnow and stay retired.

This guy has talent and skills but he's more of a MEDIA BLITZ guy than a real fighter . . .he is a clown . . . he got lost in his own CRAPS and ****s . . . started believing in himself until MAB slap his silly face, beat him up . . .which ended his ARROGANCE.

He never seems to recover from that humilation he got from MAB that's why he quit.

I hope Naz can make a comeback, he's been out of the fight game a fair while now. He had tremendous talent in the ring and unbelievable handspeed and agility, alot of that may be lost now. Before he was fighting consistantly from when he was a kid, his talents were been utilised on a regular basis but now he has been inactive for the last few years i think it will have damaged what he had. We all know the Barrera fight killed his confidence, he took a beating that fight that he never thought in a million years he could experience. He thought he was untouchable and he paid the price for it. I'm glad we never saw him seriously hurt but to see him mentally hurt was painful enough for me. Alot of people say he was so full of himself and they wanted to see him lose but why would any true boxing fan want to see that? He was unique and the style he haboured was amazing. I watched his fight against Steve Robinson last night, it was on KOTV Classics. It was amazing to watch, it was about 1 in the morning and i had to get some sleep because i was working in the morning but i still stopped up and watched it all. He was a really entertaining fighter to see in action, those lunging uppercuts and those dazzling jabs and taunts were all unique. How many other fighters do you see stand in front of their opponents with their hands down and give them free shots. He was unique and if he does comeback i wish him all the best, i would never want to see him get beaten bad so if his skills are tarnished then i would rather him stay retired.

for me wez i wanted to see him get beat to calm down his ego. i didn't expect it to destroy him. he was very entertaining. i think nas can come back. its all in his head. i personally never liked him. i thought he should have been in wwf instead of boxing. but he truely did have talent and i think he had a good style. problem was that he was too flashy entering the ring. i welcome anyone that wants to enter the squared circle and give us a good fight. bring it on nas!!!!

i agree. if nas could get the fight back in him and train he would still be a very formidable opponent and would definately bring some added excitement. unfortunately i never saw graham fight but sounds like he would have been tough to beat from the articles i have read.

Yeah Naz had power. Yeah Naz has speed. But it terms of skill? Not in my opinion. MAB showed that. Put him in a brawler, he has a chance. Put him with a well balanced and skilled boxer, no way. He had no remarkable defence, and had awful balance. He can leap good alright but that's all I give him. For someone with his arrogance, considering the raw boxing skills that he lacked, yeah it was entertaining. That's as far as it goes.

iN terms of bringing in excitement to the sports . . . I would agree that we need Naz BACK . . . but that is only if he can still compete in the same level of the fighters you have mentioned.

Hagler left boxing after a defeat, and so did Naz. The difference between the two is that Hagler's exit came after a controversial loss (many, very many, thought and still think he beat Leonard); Hamed's, after a beating in the hands of Barrera. Naz was exciting; he went against the grain, was unpredictable and tried to re-write the book-- he threw punches that defied general conceptions of how punches should be thrown, took defensive moves that appaled trainers, etc. His great reflexes and talent allowed him to "experiment" and succeed; his successes fed his ego and made him the type of character he was, off and on the ring. Does the already exciting featherweight division need a character like Naz? I don't think it NEEDS Naz. But if Hamed comes out to play, it would have some use for him, provided that the Naz that emerges from his hole is hale,hearty and with well-honed skills; eager to prove his worth by engaging credible opposition before meeting the division's elite; not necessarily in his first outing, but, sometime before he goes up to challenge a Morales, a Barrera or a Pacquiao. Same thing if he comes out to fight at any other weight class. He should prove that what he shall bring to the big fights is beyond pre-fight and post-fight showbiz. Caveat: More often than not, come-backing fighters do not live up to fans' expectations. In Naz case, all we could be getting from the re-emergent Naz may be the the over-the-ring-ropes flip of an entrance.
