gotta be mayweather snr - thinka about it how often have you seen one of mayweathers fighters get hit on the chin - chad dawson stands out but imo he is still learning under mayweathersnr the likes of joan guzman and money mayweather have a water tight defence - in fact i dont even know how good mayweathers chin is because hes never been hit there!!!

if kahn is serious about being a world class talent he has to do what benn did and go over to the states - get some real sparring in with some real tough competitors who are gonna test him and push him and force him to improve.

khan was too proud and because his pride clouded his judgement he couldn't see himself for what he really was i.e. a promising young, fit hugry boxer, with good speed, stinging punches, stamina, sharp reflexes these are all his assests. instead khan wants to be one punch KO artisit he doesn't have that power, most his ko's are wither TKO's or a result of stingin volumes of punches going through the middle.

khans pride makes him see himself as someone with one punch KO power, his entourage doesn't help they proabaly fed him the bull**** till khan started to believe it himself.

Khan needs to get back to what he does best which is what got him here he may never be good defensively he does not have the caution and the defensive instincts to be defensively sound

actually terrible you make a good point maybe you do need to be already be a defensive fighter to work with mayweather snr and have good defensive instincts in place before hand, khan is alot like DLH in that he is offensive fighter who likes to attack and be the aggresor rather than the counterpuncher.

but id agrue that kkhan still adpot that style quite successfully - why? because hes young. DLH by the time he had trained with mayweather had already learnt all his trade and was the finsihed article at that stage you can tweak a fighters jab or movement but you can't hange them because theyve learnt their way of figting - mayweather will be doing a similar thing with ricky in terms of using his jab, feints, movement and boxing ability etc.

khan unlike DLH has alot yet to learn he is clean slate in some respects. he might have picked up some bad habits but they are not ingrained in him like they are with older fighters and he can still unlearn them. imo he needs to go with mayweather snr and get some better sparring.

Amir Khan has to realize that his chin was the problem, not the opponent. This could very well happen again. He simply cannot take a punch. Making Rubio take the heat for this is plain wrong. This is going to be a career problem for Amir.

khan needs to have a good look at himself before he blames others...its wasnt his coach that got knocked out in the first round

those shots were easy to see coming, if khan had any decent defence whatsoever he wouldnt have gotten caught

but then again, maybe a change of trainer would help, maybe roach can teach him some things in the area of defence
