I'm surprised the fight is taking place this late. Lacy vs. Taylor is on Nov. 15. By the time Froch squares off against Pascal Taylor has likely lined up his next opponent. That opponent is IMO either Lucien Bute or Mikkel Kessler provided they win their next fight of course.

You're giving DiBella too much credit. It took six months to square away an opponent and date for the Taylor/Lacy fight. It took about three months to square away the Pavlik rematch.

It always takes forever for them to find an opponent for Taylor. He's only been fighting about twice a year since beating Bernard and each time around they go through three or four names before finally coming to an agreement.

Agreed. Froch should take him out. The bum Pascal fought on ESPN back in January found his chin and even hurt him. Froch should be able to as well.

When Taylor beats Lacy, he will be the number 1 contender for the WBC, i don't think he ranks any higher in the other alphabets rankings so the fight with Froch could be getting just a little closer. Also, Kessler seems to be taking all the mandatories out of the way so hopefully he will also try to unify later next year against Bute.

Realistically, if Froch does not get Taylor, he will likely take another mandatory as a first defense. Could be Inkin if he doesn't wimp out again.
