The irony of Jean Pascal is that he ducked Miranda earlier this year after just surviving his opponent on ESPN FNF; that was the same card where Miranda destroyed his opponent via 2nd round KO...

Fast forward 8 months later and Pascal has preserved his unbeaten record and is fighting argubly a much less dangerous opponent. If Pascal beats Froch then his management has done a great job of bringing him along....

See Id actually like to see those two fight eachother. Would give us a good indication of where Kessler is at since Calzaghe.

yeah it is kinda funny how Pascal skips out on Miranda to get a title shot

while Miranda moved on to a catch weight fight and got knocked out.

and Pascal could still get kayo'd himself, but at least he made it to the Title bout.

I'm surprised the fight is taking place this late. Lacy vs. Taylor is on Nov. 15. By the time Froch squares off against Pascal Taylor has likely lined up his next opponent. That opponent is IMO either Lucien Bute or Mikkel Kessler provided they win their next fight of course.

Jean Pascal is a joke, but its a good enough fight to get to bigger fights

The reason that it is that late is because Taylor wimped out to fight Jeff Lacy, and because Calzaghe, Hatton and Haye, all have November tv dates booked up. Purely business my friend.

If Setanta is now the home of boxing, then Sky Tv is now surely the bedsit of boxing. Setanta has Calzaghe, Haye and Top Rank fights, ITV has the Henessy fights and SKY are left with Frank Warren's brady bunch, who don't have an alphabet between them!

I just feel a little sorry for Froch actually. I reckon he's out of the Taylor sweepstakes because of the late date.
