True but the point im trying to make is that it proves that if he wins it proves that Hopkins has alot more left in the tank than people think though which would bring alot more credit to the Hopkins win.

you beating me doesn't mean you could beat the people I beat.

Boxing is not as simple as that. period.

Read my last post. Alot of people think Hopkins is shot, gone, nothing left in the tank. If he beat Pavlik it would prove that he has more left in the tank than people thought giving more credit to the win. I don't care about the stylistic match up, it's about Hopkins primarily and how much he has left in the tank and how Calzaghe looking terrible against Hopkins but still winning is a credible win because even though he's old he's still got a good amount left in the tank.

if he wins then maybe pavlik just didn't have the style to win being that he hits miles harder than calzaghe and he doesn't throw those punches.

a shot fighter can be someone who fights the shot fighters fight.

but in the end.. he's still shot.

For hopkins that remains to be seen.

Ok sure I can agree with that I think you have a good point. In peoples eyes Hopkins stock would go up because he would beat a good figther and it would show that he as more left "in the basement"....if Calzahe beats Roy and B Hop takes out Pavlik...can anyone stomach a Calzahe Vs B Hop rematch???

If Hopkins wins, it just means Pavlik just wasn't experienced deal with a tricky fighter. Most of the guys Pavlik has fought so far have been pretty straight forward in their attack. He hasn't fought a defensive master yet. Plus considering how disputed Hopkins vs. Calzaghe was anyway it really wouldn't say anything about Calzaghe. When RJJ beats him though, that will have said it all.
