I voted yes, But actually think it's borderline. Maybe a dominant win over Povetkin. Also I rather see a HW in P4P status then guys who weigh 108lbs like Calderon, not saying he isn't good cause he is. I just perfer HW's thats all.

I think he deserves a spot on the bottom area of the list. He is VERY dominant right now in his division, and while there is "no one" else to face, hes not exactly fighting bums either.
A few more people will be believers come December when he knocks the **** out of Povetkin.

I fully agree with you on that. If a HW champion is the most dominant and impressive fighter in the sport there is no reason he shouldnt be ranked number 1 P4P.
Not that Wlad has made it that far.

The same thing could be said about Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams, Hugo Cazares, etc.

I dont believe in p4p......there are plenty of arguments for it and against it......so I let people decide what side of the fence they are on and I can respect either side.

To me he is p4p because his still would still be succesful at lower weights, and ****...his chin wouldnt be too bad either if he was getting punched by guys 50lbs lighter

but he is not on the ring mags top ten....

so what does everyone think, is he on your personal list and does he deserve to be in the ring mag top ten

i personally believe he shouldnt, but im curious what you all think, so debate/discuss
a definite YES. why? because from 100lbs to 200lbs, there are like 16 weight classes. If a fighter takes over even 2 weight classes, he is almost automatically put on the p4p list. the hw division is 200+ pounds where fighters fight guys in 10 different weight classes if 200-300 was divided as equally as 100-200. Its a vast division.

230lbs chagaev beat a 320lbs valuev. thats like calderon beating a cruiserweight. that weight discrepancy would be huge if it wasn't a hw fight but because it is, ppl under rate it. so for those reasons I think the top hw should be an AUTOMATIC addition to the p4p list.

eh, a win over povetkin really doesnt do as much for wlad. if you are using this fight as a judge to put him on your p4p list, then you should have him here already. povetkin hasnt made enough strides in the division to really be taken serious enough to boost wlad up any. im not saying povetkin is a bad opponent or a bad boxer, but at this point wins over peter, valuev, chagaev, maybe james toney would do a little more for wlad. i really hate to see povetkin take this fight so early, cant say he doesnt have balls though.

balls have nothing to do with it. Povetkin is Wlad's IBF mandatory. If wlad refuses this fight he loses his belt and if Povetkin refuses the fight he gets bumped down the rankings. And this isn't that early for povetkin. very doubtful he gets any better than he is at the moment cuz he is 29 years old. His experience level is deceptive cuz he had a very long amateur career. He might improve in the future but really, if he can't beat him now, he won't ever beat him cuz I doubt he'll have a steep improvement from here on.
