He might improve in the future but really, if he can't beat him now, he won't ever beat him cuz I doubt he'll have a steep improvement from here on.
you may very well be right, but he could have, say, taken 2 more fights. if he declined to fight klitschko now, and fought another worthy name, i doubt he would have lost any rankings. besides, no one gives a **** about the IBF anyways.

obviously wlad wont turn down a mandatory, he is all about some unification.

hopefully if povetkin loses, this doesnt derail his career too bad. alot of the fighters klitschko pummeled never really made it back into the mix.

    go team klitschko!

I would agree with that except taking 2 tune fights wouldn't matter in this case cuz there is no one that has the size and fighting style that wlad does to prepare him. only 2 hw's (valuev, dimitrenko) ranked in the top 20 are taller than wlad and I doubt povetkin will fight either of those 2 especially dimitrenko who I think would beat him easy. While tuneups are definitley helpful, they wouldn't do much in this case.

i bet youd say haye should be on the p4p after beating a fighter who you say shouldnt be ranked p4p.
haye will be p4p if he beats wlad and the winner of vitali/peter

because haye has other accomplishments like cleaning out CW....

then if he beats wlad and the winner of VK vs SP he will have cleaned out HW

Hypejob Haye didn't clean out cruiserweight....he partially unified by beating weak title holders mediocre Macca and old, shot Mormeck.

It's really unfortunate for Wladimir that the division is so god damn bad. The opponents he has fought are just not very good, and Wlad has dominated him like he should.

The worst part of it all is that Wladimir is actually good enough that he could probably beat a better caliber of heavyweights considering how he is dominating today's crop. So, really, the only thing holding Wladimir back is how bad everyone else is.

Hopeful Povetkin has a good career after Wladimir beats him to get Wladimir some credit for that. There are a couple of other badasses from Eastern Europe that are up and coming too I have heard... Alexander Dimi.... I don't remember, but...

For Wlad and for the division, I hope there is someone on the horizon that can offer more than a Calvin Brock ever could.
            very good post

for the original question:if would try to make p4p list yes I could place him 9-10. top 15 definitely
