He is the dominant heavyweight champ... no one thinks that Valuev or Peter is the actual champion, but...

It's really unfortunate for Wladimir that the division is so god damn bad. The opponents he has fought are just not very good, and Wlad has dominated him like he should.

The worst part of it all is that Wladimir is actually good enough that he could probably beat a better caliber of heavyweights considering how he is dominating today's crop. So, really, the only thing holding Wladimir back is how bad everyone else is.

Hopeful Povetkin has a good career after Wladimir beats him to get Wladimir some credit for that. There are a couple of other badasses from Eastern Europe that are up and coming too I have heard... Alexander Dimi.... I don't remember, but...

For Wlad and for the division, I hope there is someone on the horizon that can offer more than a Calvin Brock ever could.

      top 10? no.

      top 20? yes.

He just needs one more big fight to push him into the top 10...possibly if he beats peter and haye...for me that would put him in the top 10 if he was impressive in the wins over those two.

but right now boxing has so much more talent that has tougher opponents that wlad doesnt crack top 10...

its not his fault the heavyweight division isnt talented...he does his best and is close to top 10 p4p status in my opinion...just a few more good wins against worthy competition and he's good as in.

p4p? I will agree he's the best HW despite i don't digging his style much but p4p? Since when are HWs rated in the p4p list? Think how unfair this can be to the really little guys who battle long, fast and fierce because they have absolutely no advantages over their opponents (Oscar apart). Not fair for them.

There have been numerous heavyweights ranked in the pound for pound top 10.

Didn't know that... well it makes no sense although for Tyson you could make a case because he was the smaller man many many times if not all the times he was in the ring. For the likes of the Klitschkos, Valuev or Lewis and other huge HW champions they can't really be called p4p in my book. If you think of the term p4p you will realize that. To compare a pound for a pound you need to do just that, compare a pound for a pound. If you compare a pound to 3 pounds it's gonna tell you nothing.

Ok, so if he's p4p then i'll put him around lets see i have Pacquiao, JMM, Pavlik, PW, Margarito (hard calls for PW and Margarito), WK, so around 5 amazing!

I wasn't really thinking this list carefully but he does have good power...
