Juan Diaz- Where are his muscles?

I think Juan Diaz is an awesome fighter. He brings everything to the table except power. He has awesome stamina, great defense and is always bringing crazy combinations. But can you just imagine how much better he would be if he lifted some weights. Now I know a lot you out there might say, “Oh if he gets to big then it will slow him down” or “Just because you have muscles does not mean you are a better fighter.” All I am saying is can some one please show Juan Diaz the weight room or hook him up with a membership to 24 hours. I think if he had a stronger upper body then maybe he could of finished Nate Campbell and maybe wore down Michael Katsidis in a earlier rounds. Do you any of yall agree? If not please tell me why?

p.s - I am not hating on him. I big fan of his and I wish him the best and hope he gets all of his titles back and becomes the Super Undisputed Light Weight Champion including the Ring Belt.

Well it's possible that he does do weights.

Pavlik is not muscular, but I've seen training footage where he was lifting weights.

I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine that Diaz does at least some strength training.

Of course playboy him gettin stronger would cause for more hurt and possibilities of landin a money shot...

But if he hasn't been doing it and he's this good.. i might not want to risk my chips unless i was payin out the bookuu bucks to make sure my speed and stamina didn't change one bit.

Juan diaz can rob most boxers at fist range with just his combinations...

And that gets to the money.

I don't really agree, his lack of muscles is what allows him to get his punches off so quickly and it's a major part of his style, adding muscle could slow up his reaction times and that would be very bad for him, it could also affect his stamina, which is also a big part of his style, it also probably wouldn't increase his punching power, he's good enough on the inside not to need those muscles IMO.

The muscles you see ont he outside of a fighter is not the amount of strength he has.

People that are more defined in their musculature, just mean they have less body fat and therefore the skin is tighter on their body and muscles seem bigger or more defined.

Juan Diaz just has more body fat and therefore doesn't "appear" to have a lot of muscles but in reality, they are just not defined on the outside.

For example, if you look at the strongest men in the world, they appear almost fat. Because they are based on power and not definition. Body builders who are incredibly defined are actually at their weakest when they are competing because they drain their bodies of all water to have the skin as tight to their muscles as possible. If you would see them in the off season, they look nothing like that.

Juan Diaz is as strong as he's going to get. Punching power has nothing to do with the amount of muscles you see. You either have it or you don't, lifting weights can only help so much.
