Calzaghe: "Pavlik is Full of Bull****, Overhyped Fighter"

Somebody needs to tell this ****** that Calzaghe is a light-heavyweight and got offered a shot to defend his title against a light-heavyweight who is a legend and will make him far more money. Why would he reject that to fight some Middleweight guy who hasnt even proved he's the best Middleweight??

Point is...Calzaghe is making it seem as if Pavlik was running from him. Pavlik was just coming off a win against Miranda when he was offered to fight then undefeated Middleweight champ Jermain Taylor who he ended up knocking out. Since then he's beaten Taylor again and beaten Calzaghe's stable mate. Immediately following the fight he was asked who he'd want to fight and Calzaghe is the name that came out with the crowd cheering.

If they both win their fights this year, there'd be no point why they shouldn't fight.

Joe is not interested in Pavlik in the least. He is trying to discredit Pavlik as a possible opponent before it becomes the obvious next step....
...Joe is busy trying to quash the idea now before Pavlik fights Hopkins, just in case Pavlik wins. He is even predicting a Pavlik "win" all of the sudden against the "old decrepid" Hopkins now, to further discredit Pavlik and to still claim Pavlik is unworthy.

His claim that Pavlik's team did not want him after the Lockett fight is a pure 100% lie!! Even Warren claimed he and Arum were making the fight until Joe dumped him.

The only way Joe will fight Pavlik, is if Pavlik looks terrible against Hopkins. He might risk it then. My money is Joe walking away instead and retiring while claiming he "did it all and has nothing left to prove". Money does talk, but protecting the 0 will make him walk.

That's why I hope Roy pulls off a victory, cause this'll probably be Joe's last fight. I'd be a fan of Joe if he so much as stepped in the ring Kelly (win-lose), or even if he just admits to not wanting a fight with him. His shifting excuses are making him look really bad.
Joe complains about Kelly not accepting his 1st challenge, but Pav was still a work in progress! His 2nd challenge was during a time that Taylor was exercising his rematch clause - Kelly didn't have a choice!

To compare Jeff Lacy to Kelly Pavlik is dumb. Pavlik has already accomplished more than Lacy could dream of.

Four US top super middles...like Charles Brewer? Yeah...he was REALLY top flight when Calzaghe fought him. So much so that he lost to Antwun Echols right before. You know Echols, right? One of those "bums" Hopkins beat at middleweight.

It'd be easy to say the US hasn't produced a single boxer that's beaten Joe when they were plenty at 175 that he could've faced. And they would've all garned him more money then beating Will McIntyre, for instance.

But carry on...I think everyone here already knows that even YOU don't believe what you're saying. You're attempts to perfect your bull**** are hilarious.

Perhaps Calzaghe is creating controversy to generate interest in their fight. If not, he's just a flat out story teller. He contradicts himself so often he's like night and day. Can't wait to hear what the Pavlik camp will have to say.

its extremely entertaining to see Pavlik described as "one-dimensional" and really separates people. If you think Pavlik is one-dimensional you do not have a very good understanding of the sweet science.

Exactly! They are minions repeating what they see others say. Pavlik is far more well rounded than many give him credit for. They just do no see the little things.

They think he is one dimensional because he does not look pretty in there. Pavlik can look awkward and sloppy at times but that has nothing to do with dimensions and everything to do with Pavlik being a little clumsy.
