margarito is so painfully underrated on these boards its sickening. people doubted him against cotto and he proved you all wrong, he would do the same to mayweather. margarito has a good defense (underrated) decent speed (not slow like made out) and great footwork to close down the gap between him and his opponent. cotto is a lot bigger than mayweather therefore he should be able to hold him off better, i dont see mayweather surviving the full 12 and especially dont see him winning with his poor punch out put.

Mayweather would roll many of Margarito's punches and counter him all night. Watch the first half of the Cotto-Margarito fight, floyd would do that for 12 rounds and box his way to a comfortable decision.

Floyd is experienced now. He won't fight Margs like he fought Castillo. He would time Margs, go to his body, stick him, move, and beat the tar out of Margs. Margs couldn't even outbox Clottey. While Clottey is a good fighter, he sure isn't Floyd. Easy win for Floyd. Too many skills. He won't run/move like Cotto did.
