There's no doubt in mind that a prime Hopkins would easily beat Pavlik. The only reason he might lose this upcoming fight is if he gasses in the later rounds.

That's not remotely true. Pavlik was a known quantity at the time, and only slightly more than half of the regulars here picked Miranda.

If Hopkins would let his hands go more often I would have more faith in him winning. Honestly if he would throw just 15 to 20% more he might have beaten Taylor and Joe. I understand he is older but he is too conservative and I think that Pavlik will out work him.

I don't think Hopkins will win, but considering that Taylor had BIG problems hitting Bernard flush in their two fights and he's got faster hands than Pavlik... so Kelly may have his hands full just trying to land on him.

That said, that was three years ago and Hopkins is a different, older fighter now.

b-hop is a defensive counter puncher master, pavlik in a stylistic sense is the perfect opponent for b-hop who loves an aggressive fighter.... b-hop still has the legs to upset pavlik!!!!! i think his accurate hooks will be able to wear down pavlik who will be fighting at 170 and i am predicting a tko for b-hop who will jump on his man as soon as he senses that he his hurt!!!!

LOL B-Hop's legs? I don't see his legs doing for him what they used to. Do you think his old legs are better then Taylor's? B-Hop is craftier, but he isn't as fast or as limber as he once was. Pavlik is much stronger, in better shape, and busier. All these things are bad considering he has more power and accuracy then Cal.

Thing is Pavlik is still rising and at only 26 we dont know what his prime is yet your comment is kinda half cooked , I think Kelly will beat Bhop a lot more convincing than what Cal did .
