Ricky needs to give it up, nothing in the first fight left signs that he ever had a chance. Floyd will whup his ass again. The best fight for floyd right now would be Margarito.

Hey, if Mayweather comes out of retirement in 2009, he will need a warm up fight before facing Margarito or other top WW (he will have been inactive for over a year). Hatton can be his warm up fight.

            Ricky Hatton Vs Flloyd Mayweather

IF Flloyd snr can improve Ricky and teach him how to fight his son style--i.e break his son strenghts down so that Ricky can exploit this with his NEW FOUND SMART AGGRESSION then Ricky does have a shot in a rematch.Recall refree Cortez in my opinon was extremly bias in the first fight.Castillo gave Flloyd fits by fighting with angles and smart aggression.Flloyd can be beat but it would take a very strong and determined fighter ala Margarito with a well placed game plan.

LOL^^^^I agree Hatton is too small for Money. Mayweather would need to fight cotto or margarito...

stop bringing up castillo that was years ago and boxers learn as they go i.e the rematch..floyd is levels over hatton and would just hurt him in a rematch

At 140, with a less biased ref, Hatton might pull off a decision loss.

Would love to see Ricky get another shot but I cant see it happening or see him winning.

it may have been years ago but i think it will have to be a castillo type gameplan to beat Floyd . . . or we'll have to wait until his skills start to diminish

cortez was jumping in too quickly and should have allowed them to fight out of some of the clinching. but hatton is a dirty fighter who constantly holds and he always had biased refs that let him get away with it . . .

cortez interfered too much, but it was in his right too its boxing not wrestling . . . mayweather did most of the holding and tying up, hes a genius boxer and was doing everything possible to diminish hattons stubby armed inside fighting.

cortez should retire but IMO 90% of his calls that night were justified.
