He does sometimes talk sense, but not as much as he used to.

I remember him from 10+ years ago, he used to be a lot more low-key. He does know the sport, and was an amateur himself. In my opinion, he realised that he'd get more attention, and thus more TV deals and money, if he acted like a loud-mouthed idiot.

It's possible that he is simply a complete idiot and I am giving him too much credit based upon what I thought of him when I was 14.
