You are the one with the colonial mentality long after the colonizers have left wherever it is your nationality stems, leaving genetic remnants of their control. Leaving you with a mentality that their is a difference between groups regardless of the hundreds of years of commonalities and interaction between the spawn of the gringo, negro, and indio. Still it exist in you, implanted in you, to discern what is a more acceptable dominant genetic characteristic. Hector often brags about his light skin and about Mexicans with blonde hair and blue eyes even though most mexicans would not fit that description. It is a colonial mentality that still exists and has you defending why black latinos are not latinos.
