Schaefer: "No Way Pacquiao Fights Marquez Again"

schaefer may have anticipated that after delahoya, pacquiao's next assignment maybe hatton, or even ugly boy floyd. these boxers are certainly bigger dogs than marquez whom he already knockdown 4 times.
hatton or ugly boy floyd will certainly enrich pacquiao another 15-20M dollars. if fighting marquez is worth only 5M dollars, how would you expect him to fight?

Who is more logical right now? is it pacquiao or marquez, given the fact that they are both in the same situation but in different perspective. since before it was pacquiao who wanted a rematch but now its JMM...

I'm glad. We've already seen Marquez-Pac twice. The minds of judges doesn't really matter too much. Everyone knows that rematch was a close fight, and Marquez probably should have got the decision. How important can a win on paper really be? Deep down Marquez believes he beat Pacquiao both times. So do a lot of other people. Does it really matter that some old ass judges didn't? Besides, there are a ton more interesting fights to be had. Let's see Marquez square off with Valero, or with Campbell, Diaz, Katsidis, Prescott. There's many many fights. Pacquiao has a very difficult assignment with Oscar in the winter. Personally I think he gets brutalized, thereby chopping the lustre of a third fight with Juan Manuel. If not, he'll be welterweight and in all likelihood feel confident enough to campain, if not at 147, at 140. I've seen Marquez-Pac twice, both were very enjoyable fights, but they weren't FoTY fights, and we know Pac will always struggle against Marquez because of the Mexicans boxing ability and economic style, we know it will always be close, and always be tough, but there are other fighters waiting in line. I like seeing styles clash, and not knowing what will happen in the ring. I'd rather they didn't fight again simply so Marquez can attempt to get a win on paper. And I dont think we should really demand it. It's like demanding Norton-Ali III.

That is the hypocrisy of Arum. Marquez gave Pac a fight and Diaz used his extra money to get stitches. Look at Marquez now. Pac gets the money, but Marquez gets true respect. I don't care if Marquez took the fight in Indonesia for a BigMac, fry and coke.

It is still more logical to fight DLH than fight marquez... besides, did they close any possibility for a rematch, not yet... JMM is just so emotional...
