How much Credit does Guzman get now if he beats Campbell?

He's 3.5lbs over the limit, if he beats Campbell then how much credit will he get?

Side note: How does a guy moving UP from 130 fail to make 135?

These are top fighters, so an extra 3.5lbs shouldn't make a world of difference, though it will be interesting to see what they weigh in at on the night.

I can only guess Guzman added too much muscle and couldn't dehydrate enough. I haven't seen any pics though, so for all I know he is fat.

Guzman will get credit if he wins in my eyes, but presumably he's lost the major 'credit' he would have wanted, which is possession of the belts if he wins. This is actually quite a big deal for him. If he beats Campbell and looks good, he will instantly become one to avoid in the division, a big threat with no titles. Had he made weight and won then anyone who wanted the titles would have had to fight him. A pretty big slip up from Guzman I think.

I'll still give him credit but I'm disappointed in him not making weight, this was supposed to be his big shot only for him to come in overweight.

He will get credit, but will also get critisicm over the weight. He will also be a bit ****ed, he has beat the champ but not got the belts, so people will still look to fight Campbell instead of Guzman..

        He messed up badly..

Guzman fights at Super featherweight/Junior Lightweight at 160 at fight night lmao. The guy blows up like crazy.

But if he's able to stick Cambpell all night long, he deserves all the credit in the world. I don't think Guzman can KO Nate, but I think it's possible he could outbox him. It all depends if Nate can find a way to take away Guzmans weak shots. If he can, Nate can take over.

He won't get any credit from all the knowledgeable boxing fans who's been into a typical training camp. These boxers starve themselves to death just to make the agreed weight while training his ass off for 2 or more months. That's why it's an ordinary sight to see boxers coming into a weigh-in pale, haggard and looking like skeletons. You will also see there's a feast waiting for them on one of the corner tables once they make the agreed weight.

Here comes a boxer, who has no regard for the contract that he had signed, coming in overweight, didn't even bother to show up after the extension he was given, instead, he went for the nearest pizza parlor right beside an ice cream house, and ate himself to death.

What would've happen if Nate just decline to fight Joan? What would've happen to the fans who already booked themselves a flight and bought the tickets?

He won't get the credit.. How can you get a credit weighing close to Junior Welteweight during the weigh in.. Campbell killed himself with all the diet just to make 135.. Guzman is enjoying himself eating steak and ice cream and didn't bother to lose 3 pounds during the weigh in..

Probably if he losses the 3 pounds, he's done for tommorow.. He'd rather fight being overweight than getting knock out.

Yes it is a big difference. Campbell killed himself while Guzman didn't.. During fight night, it doesn't matter anymore how much weight they gain since Guzman didn't bother to lose all his energy during weigh in.. How can you get a credit if a person is burning himself to 135 while the other one is killing himself of making Junior Welterweight.
