Paulie Malignaggi: "I Don't Have A Lot of Fights Left"

IBF 140-pound titlist Paulie Malignaggi says that if he breaks his right hand again that it could very well signal the end of his boxing career. And even if he doesn't break more bones he claims every fight could be his last. Malignaggi will face Ricky Hatton on November 22nd at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas for what could be his final time in a boxing ring.

That hand will probably break again sooner or later.

Sucks Malignaggi, but it's probably the right move to be honest.

I agree with paulie to an extent.

His hand has been broken 4 times and operated on 10...

thats a LOT of times for having less than 30 fights...thats a lot for ANY fighter to be honest.

I think we all seen it was a matter of time before he would consider retiring.

I think what will happen is paulie will fight hatton in november and if he wins he may take a tune up but i think his goal is pacman...

so if he gets past hatton i think all he wants after that (assuming the hand doesnt break in the hatton fight) is a fight with pacman...

            then he retires...win or lose.

Thats how i see it unfolding...i'd be surprised if paulie was still fighting in 2010.

he hasnt had the best career (in terms of money fights, status fights, etc.) but he has put on some good boxing performances (like the first ndou fight...that whole fight could go on his career highlight reel).

            i wish him the best.
