to make someone give up his undeafted record is pretty humiliating though. I wont take away from cotto boxing skill cause he does have mad boxing skillz.

Tyde 13- Remember Cotto could box on the ropes if he wants but Margarito will cut that ring off when he's ready to throw a thousand punches and you have to admit he's great at that.

I know that when your tired or dehydrated, you are more prone to getting hurt, no doubt. I just think when you look at fighters like Chavez, Margarito, Baldomir, they just have "it".

You can't train someone's chin to be that strong. That's why a good trainer will always train a fighter to his/her strengths, not try and mold them into what he wants them to be.
No doubt about it. Some fighters have this "it" you're talking about. A strong chin that comes a bit more naturally. And I'm not sure how much more resistant a person can become against ko's in applying this method, but the logic behind it seems to add up.

Cotto is the better boxer but Marg just willed his way to a win and I don't see that changing. It's kind of like Barerra vs Junior Jones, Barerra was the better boxer and will go down as a legend but just couldn't beat Jones no matter how he fought.
Yea, I'm curious to see how much of a difference practicing this method can make on a boxer like Cotto. I can't imagine it would alter a person to THAT MUCH of an extreme, so I'd have to agree. If Marg trains the way he did last time, Cotto might be headed for another disaster. Marg'll be able to take Cotto's punch (at least to the head we know for sure), and Cotto will face the same chin issue.
Hope I'm wrong, no doubt I'm routing for Cotto.

Dude. He took Marg's shots for 11 rounds. Hence better conditioning and no busted nose he goes the full 12 rounds on his feet, win or lose.

hell yea he can, im a boxer myself and 1 thing ive learned is that drama and family BULLSHYT like the one that cotto was goin thru with his uncle can affect a boxer in the ring, margarito has no defense what so ever! cotto works on his defense a bit, watches tapes on margarito especially his fight with him, REMEMBERS to go to the body how he usually did in all his other fights, and goes for more combonations and he can even score a knockdown over margarito..not a knock out but a knockdown, remember that cotto is 1 of the hardest body punchers in his division.. if he can take margaritos legs away from him by gettin him in the body and watch out for margaritos lethal uppercuts then the fight can be his.. margaritos deadliest punch is his uppercut cuz other then that cotto pretty much got the reflexes to dodge anything else like he did in the first few rounds...

yup, his nose was the main thing that messed em up, having trouble breathing aint gonna keep u goin for long but even so, he last 11 rounds, avoid that upper to the nose and he can out box margarito easily..

first off, to NOT sit on the ****ing ropes is not a ****ing tool or a skill, it's very simple, get the **** off the ropes.

marga fans are a little worried.they saw how much like **** marga looked in that fight.
what got him the win was cotto's mistakes.
