Ok so let me get this straight...Taylor just fought two hard fights with Pavlik at 160 and at a catch weight of 166...Do you expect him to just jump into the division without having at least one tune-up fight...Just because he doesnt fight Froch WHEN YOU WANT HIM TO doesnt mean he is ducking him! who said it would redeem him? hes coming off 2 losses to the undisputed MW champ so if he's taking a breather against Jeff Lacy who isnt necessarily a push over so what?!

Taylor has a chance to fight for a title in his first fight at 168 and he backed out. Fair enough, have a tune up but Taylor admittedly is taking easier fights for more money.

I agree with the threadstarter. Dress it up however you want, but Taylor's camp has refused to accept or make a purse bid for a title fight ordered by the WBC, in favour of an easy fight against what amounts to a bum. That's fact. You can excuse it by saying Taylor wants a tuneup or whatever, but it doesn't alter the fact that an easy opponent has been chosen over a risky one, and a meaningless fight over a title fight. It is a duck, plain and simple.

A win over Lacy will do far less for him than a win over Froch.

He should beat Froch, I dont know why he would rather fight Lacy. Cash is the only reason.
