De La Hoya - Hopkins, a dive or a "perfect punch"?

a few months after this Hopkins was his partner in golden boy promotions. De la Hoya made over 30 million from this fight, a great business move from Hopkins and De La Hoya or was it the real deal?

To be honest it didn't look like he pulled back on that left hook all that much or that it landed with a great amount of force and Oscar hitting the ground didn't look all to real and he got up fine and walked around but I don't really think Oscar would throw a fight with Hopkins. IF he won it would just lead to more money.

Perfect punch in combination of oscar not really belonging at 160 and probably never being hit like that by a guy of hopkins size.

doesn't make sense why oscar WOULD take a dive. It's not like hopkins was some super draw with a huge following and sold a **** load of PPV's. Prior to Oscar, hopkins had one big fight - Trinidad.

I've heard enough pro boxers say it (Mayweather, Judah, and Toney off the top of my head) to confirm my su****ions. Oscar QUIT. No way he couldn't get up from that punch.

Not only did the kd not look devastating, Oscar and BHops reactions both look shady. Oscar clearly overreacted.

Why the hell would Oscar throw the fight? Especially a man of his heart (not including the lame career decisions he's making today).

The only reason I've seen people use is about promotional rights for B-HOP and a Golden Boy partnership. That's just ridiculous.
