Record into the debate? Are you talking about record or resume?

Floyd had the better defensive style because it was orthodox.

Gotta respect both guys, but I'd say RJ is greater. He had an aura of invincibility at his peak that PBF didn't.

I'm one of the biggest Jones Jr. fans on the planet but I have to call it the way i see it. I saw Jones struggle in the first Griffin fight but he did totally destroy him in the rematch. He also struggled big time against Hardin, close fight until Hardin had to pull out due to shoulder injury. When Roy lost, he lost bad..he didnt look like superman anymore. People were calling for his retirement. I would have to go with Floyd on this one. He's never tasted defeat. There is no need to compare resumes, to different weight classes. I respect all fighters who get in the ring.

Roy struggled a couple times in his prime(Harding, Griffin, Mccallum), but he always managed to find a way to win.

He did. In his absolute prime Roy looked totally unbeatable. I would say it was a reasonably prime Floyd that fought to an extremely close decision win against Castillo. That fight could easily have gone the other way. Suppose the judges see it the same as the majority of people on these boards and gave it to JLC, how would it have changed this discussion?

Both guys have had tremendous careers no doubt. Roy was the outstanding fighter of the 90s and, IMO, Floyd was the best of the current decade. Taking into consideration their respective resumes, accomplishments and level of dominance over opponents in their primes I think Roy gets the edge overall.

No doubt about it, Roy was the man. When he lost to Taver that **** bothered me like I was the one that had just lost the fight
