Too many haters on this site want to see all the young talents like Khan, Gamboa, etc. lose and get exposed. Often times they are nuthuggers that just fear their favorite fighter could eventially get schooled by one of these young cats.
                .....
                thats the basic idea

                  True, True,

Calzaghe and Pavlik better be careful, else they will be the next to lose their precious '0'

Amir and Julio Cesar are both not any good, Amir might be better than Chavez Jr. but now hes just a 3rd rate journeymen based on many bad fights like Gomez ,Prescott(1 round K.O) and id rather be a bad prospect(like Chavez) than a 3rd rate journeymen prospect, Amir is supposedly English and his English people hate him

Other than Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton I cant tell you a boxer that would draw fans like Amir Khan does in this country. Whether you think Khan is a hype job or not isnt a factor here. What's important is that everyone in this country knows who Amir Khan is and they tune in to watch him fight.

Nobody can ****ing complain about boxing being a dead sport and then start celebrating when one of the sports up and coming superstars (in this country) gets knocked out.

Amir Khan is a young exciting fighter who people enjoy watching. Granted people only got interested in him at first due to his olympic accomplishment but thats because BOXING ITSELF DOES NOT CREATE SUPERSTARS ANYMORE. DAVID HAYE BECAME THE GREATEST CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMP OF HIS TIME BUT HE IS NOT A SUPERSTAR.

This is the problem boxing has. It isnt self-sufficient. It's a dying sport that doesnt have the interest where good fighters will DRAW PUBLIC ATTENTION.

Therefore when a fighter like Amir Khan who actually keeps people watching this sport gets knocked out, its a huge blow for boxing worldwide.
i think the reason many people are happy or glad is because many of his fans where talking about how he would beat guys like pacman and :chickenboy:
