Cotto alone, isolated and in a mental slump.

I also believe he is pissed off and thinks he can do much better. I dont think we have seen the best of Cotto some crumble from a loss like that, others get stronger. Cotto will be back and stronger than ever. Sad article though, peace out.Comment

NO way Cotto will be much better in the rematch he just has to dig the body which is possible if he stays close because Margarito is not very fast and stay off the ropes. I cant wait for the rematch HA HA HA.

I was about to say the same thing. The guy just co-promoted a show with Top Rank and talks with the PR media all the time. He's begging to get back in the ring.HAHAHAHA LOLOLO Miguel Cotto goes out and is partying more than ever, what a BS article.
I've seen him several times hanging out here in PR, I even made a post about him being out partying just 4 days after the fight. Someone alsoposted photos of him at the Marck Echo party a month or so ago.
This is all BS, Cotto ain't all depressed or **** because he lost to Margarito. LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!Comment

Never believe the article of a man who never fought at Cotto's level. This is what writers are suppoed to do. Trust me, Cotto will be ok whether he succeeds or not. Unless of course he turns into a drunk and starts to beat his wife and become unglued. His friends won't let that happen. This worrying article is from m.marleys site. Is this a sudden abrupt end to a promising young fighter?
"In boxing, just as in any business, rumors have a way of becoming facts. The rumors that usually grow into factual information are usually the persistent ones. Now there is a persistent rumor about Miguel Cotto.
Some of those in Puerto Rico, including people who Cotto was close to long before he became Top Rank chattel, are saying that the ex-welterweight champion is having problems dealing with his stunning and brutal loss to Antonio Margarito.
It’s not the cuts, bumps and bruises from Margarito’s devastating KO victory. It’s the psyche of a suddenly not undefeated fighter whose “I am the man” attitude may have slipped into arrogance.
“Miguel seems to have cut himself off, isolated himself,” one longtime acquaintance told me this week. “He is not responding to old friends, to invitations for social events. He seems to want to be alone.
“I know him since he was a little kid, starting in boxing, and that’s not the Miguel Angel Cotto I know and love. It seems as though he’s gone into a mental slump.”
Ouch!Comment
this is a tough, brutal, unforgiving sport......A peice of Miguel was left in Vegas on July 26.....he can't get it back. I like Cotto, but if these things are true......he's done!
