I'm kind of a Mayweather fan, so i don't think I'm biased, and I don't think the fact that I acknowledge there were close rounds makes me biased either, if anything its the opposite. That kind of thing has to go both ways. I personally think that to score the fight for Mayweather you would have to go over it with a fine tooth comb on replay looking for every single clean shot he landed in an effort to prove he didn't lose, whereas based on all around criteria, such as effective punching, aggression, ring generalship (in short, "who won") I don't see any other verdict than to give it to Castillo. For that reason I do regard it as something of a robbery.

I myself scored the fight for JLC, but can see how people gave it to Mayweather.

I agree with the others who say a close fight cannot be considered a robbery.

Yeah but don't make it seem like JLC didn't do anything Cuz you gotta admit JLC kicked ass. I had Mayweather up by 3 rounds...it was a close fight and there were close rounds. I wouldn't have argued if JLC would have gotta the win. Personally, I feel that if Mayweather would have lost...he wouldn't be to cautious about losing his 0 and we'd see a much better fighter in Floyd

It was a very close fight. I would definately not have complained if it had been a draw. The thing about this fight is that ppl need to remember that winning an uneventful round by a relatively small margin means just as much as winning a round in dominant fashion.

Compubox numbers are fun and everything but what they don't give you is a round-by-round breakdown. Floyd won the fight IMO, he landed the cleaner, more effective punches in the majority of the rounds. Castillo was clearly better in some rounds but failed to put together constructive offence in too many rounds to get the decision in my mind.

Also, weather Floyd wins or loses that fight makes very little difference. He has always fought fights in a way that maximised his advantages over the particular opponent he was facing. This would not have been changed by a loss.

Posts of this nature are the reason that your opinion is rated so lowly. Just because someone sees a close fight differently to you does not make them a "hater" Flawless.

Do you have to be a hater to believe Mayweather lost? He's one of my favourite boxers, and that's what I think.
