And B-Hop didn't have 20something straight defenses just because he was dirty, hes a GREAT fighter.
For some people boxing is too rough for them. It's not for the squeamish of heart. Either that or one of their favorite fighters lost to someone and they use the excuse that the fighter was dirty.

Anyone who doesn't strictly adhere to the Marques of Queensbury rules should be held in eternal contempt for here on.

No, it wouldn't work that way.
          Rocky wasn't a dirty fighter.

Replace him with Lewis. Lennox would frequently hold & hit, and he'd headbutt when he needed to as well.

I think he is in already, but a Marquez win (I don't think He'll beat JMM) would be a feather in his cap. He has been the most successful Cuban fighter who turned pro in quite some time.

No, that's not what it is "right there". I don't get upset when one of the guys I like to watch loses, though Diego's last fight was a little hard to watch.

And I'm not talking about guys that'll throw a low blow in retaliation, or manhandle a guy to keep him from grabbing and hitting, or **** like that...I'm talking about guys who deliberately, and chronically, fight dirty for an advantage...guys like Casamayor, and yes, Hopkins. Hopkins will deliberately headbutt, and he's an expert at making it appear to just "happen". And there's not really any excuse for Casamayor, he's just an outright dirty fighter, and the worse he thinks he's doing, the more blatant he gets. There are plenty of others, but right now those are the two at the top of my mind.

And again, it has nothing to do with some dirty fighter beating one of "my guys"...there are rules in boxing for a ****ing reason, and most boxers follow those rules. When their opponent doesnt' strictly follow the rules, and the ref doesn't catch it, or doesn't stop it, then they have an unfair advantage over their opponent, which is called CHEATING, and a cheater is about the lowest form of scum in the universe. A win acheived by cheating, is meaningless.

This is JMM's version of BHop-Wright. Both already cleary HOFers, but at their age either one to beat the other when noone could really do it decisively would just prove that they're above HOFers, and are indeed ATGs.

And when has Hopkins or Casamayor won strictly from cheating? Do you actually watch their fights? Yeah there were headbutts before the Corrales knockdowns, but he was lunging in winging hooks, of course Cas is gonna took his head and fire a counter over, he's crafty and he's only protecting his face while firing off a shot to create the distance or damage he needs to create. If Corrales is in mid air when it lands then its his fault for being so brave against a master boxer with power. Winky also lunged in on BHop. You can't try to impose your size and push and dog a fighter on the ropes when he's as smart and skilled as you. He will duck down and tuck his head and fire off his counter. If you don't stop charging in you will run into his head, but you will not force him on the ropes and into the end of your full extended punches. If Jermain was smarter, he wouldn't have fallen for that same trick all night and got his ass whooped the way he did.

Good luck with running this by the IBHOF, I'll proofread your petition buddy

Cheating to me is using steroids, doping, fixing judges, fixing referees, paying off commissions. Anything that can't be handled with your fists is cheating, anything where an advantage is already achieved before heading into the ring.

But if two guys are in the ring and their is a clash of heads or a guy strays a little south on some of their punches. If you aren't mentally tough enough to handle that in the ring, shame on you. It's like my trainer told this one kid who got pissed cuz I bloodied his nose from an accidental clash. He said you don't like it, start swimming.

You could say that Mayweather using his forearm and elbow to create space on the inside, that doesn't negate all of his great achievements. How about all of Hatton or Eusebio Pedroza's low blows, Chavez's flirtations with the belt-line? Should they be stricken from the record?

Any means necessary, this is war. If it wasn't, it'd be that weird stuff with the helmets and half-white gloves they were doing in Beijing, and that stuff made me sick.

Patrick Ewing's career was based on his pro-hop to the basket, which was technically traveling. Was he a cheater?
