I grow weary of people thinking every pro fighter is really a "pro".

They have this idea that all of them fight for a living, hahahahahaha.

No. Some are bums. Literally bums.

Actually he's not a bum. And far from being, a "bum".

Unless you have to dance like a ballerina in the ring not to be, a bum.

There are definitely bums. Anyone can turn pro if they want, regardless of training.

The concept of 'bums' on this site is a product of the relentless short-termist views of most posters and is shorthand for saying "I never saw those fights or heard of the opponents, so they are BUMS". Take Mayweather for example. He was given tough fights by many of his supposedly lesser opponents while beating his supposedly better opposition with comparitive ease. Carlos Rios, Carlos Hernandez and Victoriano Sosa all pushed him harder than did Gennaro Hernandez, Angel Manfredy, Corrales or Castillo second time out, but many here, seeking to disparage Mayweather, will happily say they are bums, despite them actually being tough competitive boxers.

At the end of the day, boxingscene is a very dumb place, full of very dumb people, so we shouldn't be surprised when they say very dumb things.

Some of the posters post this word so freely as if the actual fighters are doomed from the start, when it comes down to it it only takes skill, determination, and heart. Just look at when Prescott knocked Khan out. If Khan would of won Prescott would of be called a 'bum' and people would of failed to notice what he was capable of. Unless you, yourself have in a prizefight before don't call any other man a 'bum.' A job is a job. Some just do it better than others. No hate thread just some I had to get off my mind.
Where did you get the 25% figure?

Prescott has a better record than Khan, and KO'd him, so how is Prescott even listed there?

YES I picked Khan over Prescott
NO in retrospect it does not seem like an upset.
