Even though I'm a Haye fan, I legitimately fear for Mercer's safety should he take that fight. He could get seriously hurt facing a young puncher like Haye.

Who knows, Mercer might beat him. Haye has been stopped by a light heavyweight in his 40s (Thompson) so why not former heavyweight champion?
You dont really think Mercer would win do you? He is 47, and he is no George Foreman 47 either.

Everyone beats Haye to him, which means that if Klitschko wins thats nothing because he's a British hype job.

I agree, Haye will not be a good name on Wlad's resume.

Still, I want them to fight, so Haye will need to eat his comments about Wlad.

Shame on Klitschko if he fights someone who won't be a good name on his resume'. If he wants to be recognized as heavyweight champion, he should be fighting worthy competition.

But, no matter who he defeats, his haters will never change their opinion anyway.

Haye vs. Wlad will make a lot of money, so why not.

Ray Mercer was a good fighter.

                Around 10 years ago.

                  Haye should fight Kimbo Slice.

You don't think the British posters will give Wlad respect for knocking out Haye?

Somehow I see Haye taking a fight like this. Little to no risk and he can have his front men start screaming how he beat down an ex-heavyweight champion. Heck!! If Larry Holmes was a few years older he might chance fighting him. Maybe he should fight Chuck Lindell from the UFC line of fighters he's way over the hill, has a name and he was created from a much smaller pool of fighters than Mercer. What a joke Haye is becoming. Want a title shot earn it!!, This ain't the cruiserweights
