Diaz's opposition had been hand-picked for most of his career. He was allowed to fight Lakva Sim for a title belt, very slow and stands right in front of you. Guys like Jose Cotto, Randy Suico and Angulo fit that bill as well. Julio Diaz won his belt when Jesus Chavez broke his knee and Freitas came out of retirement to give his belt away. He put three belts together but none of them were the elite of the division. Corrales and Castillo were running the division until they retired and Diaz never got involved in that action.

Just my personal feelings but I always felt he was overrated.

Sarcasm has to do with the tone of one's voice, which can't be heard through text.

I never said he'd amount to nothing, he's obviously very good at his style and his style will be effective against certain fighters. Ones that don't move much and let him get his punches off in bunches will always make him look great.

its Diaz who needs to accept a rematch, Campbell already offered him a rematch and they turned it down then after this fight they wanted the JMM-Casa winner instead of a rematch.

Yeah the headline is kind of misleading, I know Diaz turn down a rematch but i think it was due to the Don king factor but i wouldnt mind watching those 2 go at it again with or without a belt.

The honus is on the fighter to accept the match, regardless of what promotional grudges you have. Whenever someone turns a fight down they always have a scapegoat, and a scapegoat isn't going to make the match happen.

As for Tyson....His whole career with became a fiasco when DK got involved..DK contributed to Tysons down fall.

I feel that he is still maturing and is only going to get better...I think he learned from Nate..The reason he does so well is because he listens to his corner..When he fought with Nate his emotions took over...and he didnt listen to his corner.....Pretty much I thikn he will get smarter and learn to adjust as he keeps fighting...

I think they just wanted to forget about the Nate campbell fight, Even his corner said so, I dont think they would want to deal with Don king again to be honest since he only just got himself out of his promotional contract with King.

See, to some people a record means everything. Diaz was unbeaten and had a very media-friendly personality and that endeared him to fans. So when a guy with 5 losses comes around, they think there is no way he could lose to the guy with 5 losses.

So, to wrap their minds around what happened, which was thought to be impossible, out comes a load of excuses and explanations, i.e. steroids, he wasn't focused, his dog ate his homework, etc.

I wont deny he lost..He got beat bad...Everything leading up tp the fight distracted him. He was far from focused...Don King and his shennanigans helped out...As for Records they mean nothing to me.....No matter who your are...Its boxing anything can happen with one blow....Ask Nate...I knew Diaz would lose to someone just not Nate...I feel if they rematched it would be a different story..Not taking nothing away from Nate he won fair and square...I just dont think Nate will hold his own for long or again against Diaz...
