I agree, it'd be an excellent fight. What I didn't like about Juan Diaz in the post-fight interview was when he said he missed being lightweight king, and then proceeded to call out the winner of the Marquez-Casamayor fight. Neither of those guys are a champion, the one who beat him Nate Campbell is.

I don't think GBP will put Diaz in with Campbell again personally.

You're a champion if you beat the guy with the belts, and Campbell did so. If Campbell isn't a champion then thats an insult to Juan Diaz.

Seriously.......Do you consider Nate a TRUE champion.....the way Don king was invloved I just dont give him credit for ****.....DK was too invloved with the **** causing distractions...And to tell you the truth I though Nate was fighting dirty....Dirty as in on some type of perfomance enhancer ....You dont gain more stamina out of nowhere especially at his age..No drug test before or after the fight????..and if he was so good why the hell did it take him this long to win a title........

If Campbell loses, then yes, definite rematch with Juan Diaz

          HOWEVER

If Campbell wins, on to the winner of Marquez/Casamayor

If you beat the champion, yes. Campbell beat Diaz and he did it so convincingly that you don't hear Diaz asking for a rematch. They're going right back to matching him with stand-still fighters like Katsidis.

Also, no one on that card was tested. For all we know Diaz was dirty and that could have hurt his performance. Neither Sam Peter or Oleg Maskaev were tested, do you not consider Peter a champion as well?

If you've seen Campbell fight before, you'd know that it's just his style to throw a lot of punches. He routinely throws 70-80 punches a round.

Have you considered the possibility that Diaz just isn't that good, because I have.

I highly doubt Diaz was on any steroid. I will not deny he did beat him convincingly..He beat his ass..I dont consider anyone in HW champion right now cause its so weak..Butterbean could hold the title if he wanted..For you to say Diaz isnt that good is outright crazy....How do you win three belts by no being that good...So what your basically saying is every one person that Daiz fought just wasnt that good...Only Nate.......

IDK about him taking steroids but he did fight a little dirty but that's something that many experienced veterans will do. Diaz had never had to deal with that kind of a fight before and it was a good learning experience for him. Maybe now he won't fall out of his game plan by a cut/bruise over his eye.

I definitely would love to see a rematch. Campbell fought a great fight that night.

I really think from the beggining he wasnt focused....There was to much going on plus that cut didnt help.....Nate did beat his ass I wont deny that...

Campbell isn't getting past Guzman, but he should rematch Diaz anyway. I think Diaz will have an on-off career tbh. He gets hit too much to win every decision and he doesn't have the power to match his style in order to stop many people. He is a strange mix.

You doubt Diaz was on steroids, but how do you know? Under your logic, everyone who wasn't tested should be under su****ion, right?

Butterbean could hold a title? Butterbean had only been past 4 once. You need to be a little better than that.

Diaz's opposition had been hand-picked for most of his career. He was allowed to fight Lakva Sim for a title belt, very slow and stands right in front of you. Guys like Jose Cotto, Randy Suico and Angulo fit that bill as well. Julio Diaz won his belt when Jesus Chavez broke his knee and Freitas came out of retirement to give his belt away. He put three belts together but none of them were the elite of the division. Corrales and Castillo were running the division until they retired and Diaz never got involved in that action.

Just my personal feelings but I always felt he was overrated.
