I can agree that some do indeed talk too much, and don't always back it up in the ring. Hopkins can be blamed for that as well. But, at least it was their first fight, so he might have meant it, but simply couldn't pull it off. But I think we could agree that trash talking can help sell fights.

Yeah I agree with you there, pal. It does sell fights. For some reason, it annoys me even more when Calzaghe does it though, because I think more so than anyone, the thrash talking isn't him, he isn't being true to himself, maybe. But I don't know him. He is still my favourite fighter though.

I think Roy wins this handily. Jones will shock. The only reason I think Roy jumped at this fight is because he doesn't fear Calzaghe's display of power, the thing it takes to decisively beat Jr.

Smart as Jones is, I'd guess he would be going for a stoppage. He may still be quicker, but I'd guess not as busy, even is he tried. If he really goes for it, I'm calling a stoppage, TKO or KO.

Trash talk adds lots of drama, and creates suspense. Cause there's always a chance the guy talking trash will end up eating his words.

Calzaghe doesn't know how to trash talk. You seen that with the Hopkins fight, he hardly said two words. Mind you, Hopkins does have a reputation for rarely coming up for air!

I think Calzaghe will win on points, but Jones has got a chance with a KO. I think it will be a great fight though!

Yea, I just watched the WHOLE thing, and I can see that.

The countdown showed only a few seconds of the whole "junk talk" - which can distort things.
In the countdown clip they showed just the point when cal says "you fight me,you're gonna lose" and hopkins shuts up, but when you watch the whole
thing, you'll get a different perspective.
So I can see if from your view.
