Andrew Golota Eyes Klitschko vs. Peter Winner

According to Andrew Golota's manager Ziggy Rozalski, quoted by Polish sports daily "Przeglad Sportowy", if the big Pole beats Shannon Briggs on November 7 on Don King's big show in China, he'll get his fifth title shot - against the winner of the October 11 Vitali Klitschko-Sam Peter WBC championship fight. Why did they post this? According to ESPN and Dan Rafael:

A proposed Shannon Briggs-Andrew Golota heavyweight fight, which promoter Don King wanted to put on his Nov. 7 card in earthquake-recovering Chengdu, China, isn't going to happen. Briggs, idle since losing a title to Sultan Ibragimov in June 2007, hasn't been training. "I'm just getting back in the gym and I am not prepared physically for a fight like that," Briggs told ESPN.com. "I have not been in the gym. I also need representation. I don't think it would be a smart thing to do a deal with Don without representation. But Golota is a fight I've wanted and have talked to Don about. I just won't be ready for a fight of that magnitude after such a long layoff." Golota is slated to appear on the card, which is being staged in conjunction with the WBC's annual convention. Marco Antonio Barrera could have his first fight on the show since signing with King.

If Vitali wins he should retire wit the belt again and leave it at that. If Peter wins he needs to push for Wlad before Haye gets to him. Golota don't figure in, even tho he'd be a tough opponent for either.

Kevin Johnson, who looked very good in his fight tonight with Bruce Seldon, said he wants to be Golota's opponent.

He would be wise to stay with his current promoter and not sign any contracts with Don King, however. If Kevin can get this fight without selling his future to Don King, then it's a good idea.

Vitaly K is 37, and if fit, could be Cham[pion for the next 3-4 years. Who's gonna beat him??

If Peter wins, it'll be because Klitschko has not been able to shake his inactivity or maybe, injuries. Not because Peter has suddenly become a "world-beater".

it makes no difference whether he fights Wladimir K BEFORE or after Haye. Because Haye has little chance of beating Klitschko, just like Peter has little chance.

So, maybe, the two "Little Leaguers" should fight each other instead. and remain relatively unharmed???

                    This is truly sad.

Nothing exciting in the heavyweight division anymore regardless of who reigns supreme.
