Honestly, I don't get why people hate on Tarver.
Read his quotes. He talks **** better than most, and it's a good kind of **** because he's half joking and playing to the camera.
If Floyd Mayweather had an 1/8 of his wit, he'd be a damn legend.

Tarver has knocked out plenty of folk and has never been knocked out, and he fought a ton of great light heavies and has some subtle skills and a ton of ring smarts as well as southpaw power. Guaranteed he gave Johnson better fights than Chad.

Big deal he had a bad night against Hop, I think everyone is entitled to one or two and it's not like he fought cans for the last 8 years or so.

How can you not like his eloquence in **** talking and his abilities.

Tarver will get credit but he does not deserve it. Dawson has not proven anything to me other then being an ok fighter.

Tarver further cements himself as a modern day top fighter.

Most definitely.....Dawson is the young lion in the division...I agree with Mel's commment...except for the fact that Tarver is a young 40 (by boxing standards) no doubt he's had his share of formidable opposition but he restarted his career after a long hiatus. he's sort of a preserved 40
