Will Tarver Get Any Credit If/When He Beats Dawson?

I think he would finally get some credit if he beats Dawson. Im sick and tired of hearing people refer to Tarver as a bum. People are really ridiculous sometimes and after Hopkins beat him many people call him a bum. A lot of ppl thought Woods was going to dominate tarver but that definetely didn't happen. Tarver has and always will be underated IMO.

he will get credit from me allthough i want Dawson to win ive always respected Tarver some people just dont like the fact he obliterated Jones

good post, Tarver deserves credit, he has had a very good career for a guy who turned pro so late, he has had some big victories, people just arent willing to give him credit and accept he is a very good fighter

going for Dawson but anyone who wont give him credit for beating Dawson shouldn't have their opinion on boxing respected in the first place.

people call tarver a bum? i was not aware. anyway, i'm rooting for dawson. i think both guys have the tools to beat the other guy, so it should be interesting.

HIJACK: how did you guys score tarver vs. muriqi? cause i had it pretty close. i think it could have been a draw.

I don't think it's that Tarver doesn't get credit...people just don't like him. Maybe it's his personality but it's a shame he's so hated. I mean, his two losses in the past eight years were to Hopkins and Johnson and I don't even think Johnson beat him.

It may go unnoticed but Tarver has a very, very impressive resume. I don't know if this is to be attributed to Buddy McGirt or a career change but Tarver woke up after Harding beat him. Look at the guy's he's beaten since:

Reggie Johnson
Montell Griffin
Eric Harding
Roy Jones Jr
Glen Johnson
Clinton Woods

That's quite impressive for one division. And he's fought them all, win or lose. I don't know if he beats Dawson but I have a feeling he does. Throw that on his resume and ponder that over.

how anyone could not give him any credit for having the balls to fight a young, and prime fighter while he is 40 yrs old? that alone gives him props, and add a victory to boot.........well if that does not do it than people who hate on him are morons.
