Whichever way you spin it I think Pavlik is the more proven of the two as he has been in there with a top guy in Taylor and won. Mikkel is yet to do this.

Pavlik is also considered the real linear middleweight champion of the world. That is all the resume he needs to deserve a fight.
Pavlik is only 26 years old and will soon be adding Hopkins to his resume. It's a dangerous fight to take as no belt will be on the line and it will be at a catch weight 170 so he wouldn't get recognition in any weight class. If he adds Abraham after that{which he should}he would of respectfully cleaned out his division of all threats. The next step would be going to super middleweght for a showdown with Kessler.IMO he doesn't need Calzaghe to secure his legacy when there are so many other opponents to chose from in and around his weightclass.

You saying you don’t think Pavlik-Calzaghe a superfight shouldn’t happen. This fight would be HUGE

Joe might need Kelly more. Because he will fight more elite and have better resume before 30 then in Joe whole career. Max Kellerman needs to challenge Joe like he did Mayweather

You really think Pavlik is more proven than Kessler?

What I am saying is Pavlik might be making a mistake with Hopkins and if he fights Joe his luck may run out.

Who doesn’t, winning title for nameless name is nothing. He has beaten JT twice and Miranda which he KO both of the, compare that to Mundine and Librado Andrade both by decisions.

If he beats Hopkins and puts on a great performance no doubt this fight should happen.

Maybe I am bit biased towards Kessler but I feel he has accomplished more in his career even with a loss to Calzaghe. He gained another belt right after the defeat and is on his way to unifying it after his MAND.
