Why does TheRing have Hopkins as #4 p4p but Calderon not in the top 10?

I think JM Marquez looked great in his win over Juarez, and all Hopkins did was headbutt and hold in his loss to Calzaghe!

In his fight with Manny Pacquiao, JM didn't need to resort to dirty tactics to be able to hold his own in a close fight!

I think JM is a great boxer, but Hopkins is just a dirty fighter.

Just because you don't like the way Hopkins fights, that doesn't mean he should be ranked lower than he deserves to be.

He's lost three of his past five fights.

Good post...you've summed up this whole thread....Just because a person hates (everyone in the thread can see he clearly has some hatred for Benard) doesnt mean he should be ranked lower. He might be 43 but B-hop is still a good fighter whether you like him or not. You cant take the man's skill away.

This guy is still apparently salty over Hopkins white-boy comment and is using Calderon as a pawn to express his hate. Of course he brings out the delusional thought that Hopkins being black has something to do with his ranking.

Hopkins lost a SD against the #2 P4P fighter in the world. So what does that say about Calzaghe if you don't even think Hopkins should be in the top-ten?

He is using the same standard for JMM but when it comes to B-hop...he judged by a different standard.

              Good post!

Come back when you are serious. Marquez is on a two fight losing streak and does not have a title. You would seriously put him ahead of someone that had a title only a few moths (the legitimate light heavyweight title to be exact) ago and that had wins over two pound for pound fighters in a row? Please.

Because Claderon sucks and it's debatable if Hopkins lost any of those fights.

Rafael Marquez has lost two close decisions, one of which was really a draw IMO, but B-Hop has lost THREE of his past five, including two to Jermain Taylor, a fighter who has lost his past two fights.

B-Hop had to fight dirty to get the close decision over the better-skilled Winky Wright.

Raf does a lot more in all his fights than throw one punch and hold, and he doesn't need to use headbutts and low blows to compensate for a lack of real boxing skills!

Hopkins has no world titles, while Calderon is the champion at Light Flyweight.

Hopkins has lost THREE of his past FIVE. Calderon is undefeated in his career, with many successful world title defenses at strawweight and light flyweight!

                      Is this fair?
Could not agree more Tunney. Hopkins definately doesn't deserve p4p status more than Calderon I don't think.
