You're right he fought everyone, but his entire career is made of controversial decisions.
Ike, Pernell, Tito, Mosley, Sturm, Floyd.

And knowing this he still managed to pick up Pacman for the last bout.

Oscar and the 3 Million Dollar (non) Question

"Just a matter of dieting and eating the right food to make the weight".....This has just been said in the above article about Oscar beginning training and easily making the weight.

I said the VERY SAME thing in almost the VERY SAME words, just yesterday on "The Freddie Shooting-off-his-mouth" article where he acts more like a manager than a trainer.

Just today I wrote that "Oscar hasn't made 147 since 2001 because he hadn't needed to" but would have no trouble doing so.

All the above should be immediately obvious to guys with even a slight knowledge of boxing lore, never mind the posters on this site who know a lot more than that, but seem to forget it sometimes.

In the above article much is made of the fact that Oscar has now begun training, to "show how seriously " he takes the fight.

It's written that last week, not yet in training, he was only 153. SO I assume that he's beginning a little early because the next 12 weeks will be much broken up by the various travels all across the country and the many appearances, both personal, talk show and press events.

Oscar will make the weignt, and probably come in a little under.

He was leading on 1 card before the body shot. did he run? No. Floyd ran from him cause that's his strength. Even so, if oscar jabs he wins! hands down.
Trinidad fight he put on a clinic. Watch the fight again and look at the scorecards. One of the worst decisions in the last 30 years. 1st fight with Shane great fight at best a draw. 2nd fight with Shane very questionable decision. I actually was there. Look at how shocked Shane and his Dad were by the decision. Watch it.
Keep hating cause he won't end up broke like "money" Mayweather. They're all calling him out for a payday..he doesn't have a belt. None of these champs want to unify?? That's their right, but why should he give a lottery ticket to every fighter that calls him out. He's 35 past his prime right? But he should fight every champ right? Most of you don't have any idea about boxing.
When has he ever been hurt? Besides the body shot? Never been beat up. Is that what bothers you? All that success and never been damaged or embarassed.

I sincerely believe that except for your comments about the Hopkins fight, you are wrong. In the Trinidad fight,
Oscar got a heavy body shot in the middle of the fifth, and Trinidad also around then changed his tactics, crowding Oscar. Oscar undeniably ran like a sprint champ for the last 5 rounds all of which the judges gave to Trinidad.

As for the Mosely fight #1, they didn't know what toexpect, since Oscar had such a cosy relationship with the "powerrs that be" and a jedge had already voted for Oscar.
As for the fight itself, it was an excellent fight, probably one of the very best that Oscar has ever been in, with Oscar, equipped as usual with his chest protector, but Mosley was superior in almost every way, especially from round 4 onwards. That it was a "split" was the shame, it should have been Mosley 116-112.

            Just my opinion.

Oscar ran all last 5rounds because he was listening to his corner, if he would have followed his instinct, he could have knockout tito, just look at B-hops hook that caught tito to the ground...

                Oscar was way too tired.
If he stoped Tito would knock him out.
There is a documentary about that fight on youtube.

Forgive me if I take a moment to laugh..............NADD-A-TALLL....no such thing. That was a well su****ioned story that Oscar concocted to explain what many said was cowardice. Just Oscar's patented PR crap, but poorly chosen.

I don't believe that Oscar is any kind of coward, he just felt overwhelmed by Trinidad's implacable pursuit, and determined to do his best to survive....... Liastened to his corner.

Did ANY corner in thisworld ever instruct it'sfighter to RUN for the last 5-6 rounds....EH?? WELL....??? the answer is NEVER!!
