I hope it's James Toney, I'd go and see that fight.

People do realise his fight is scheduled for the 02 Arena, so all these names being thrown around have to, have to come here!

That probably rules out James Toney I doubt he has a passport. So it is a toss up between Rahman or Maskaev. Credible names who should be dealt with. Your not going to picl Ibragimov are you for your first fight at heavyweight, a southpaw who is deceptively quick and hits hard. I think Ibragimov was ****ing awful against Wlad like a rabbit in the headlights he is much better than that.

Haye said today, after I made this thread, it won't be Maskaev, Dimitrenko or Lyakhovich. He said it will likely be either Toney or Rahman.

If it's Toney, who looked surprisingly good against Rahman, it will be an interesting fight, which either might win. If it's Rahman, who looked awful in those couple of rounds against Toney as well as against Lawrence, then Haye will win for certain.

If you look at Haye's record he hasnt ducked anyone, I mean taking on the wiley Carl Thompson early in his career taught him a big lesson. So I think (and certainly from the noises he has made) he wants only top ten fighters or fighters rated higher than he is. Isn't that the way to go?? Don’t you want to see more fighters say that sort of thing?
              (...)
Clearly not. What THEY want is a WWE type of show where Shawn Michaels wins all the time and they wanna see 68 year old Rick Flair do his "WooooOOO" and that they will cheer. We all know the competitive state of the HW division right now really is very low. You have 1 in shape giant and the rest are either obese or old (or both). Remember how Tony Thompson was a perfectly good opponent for Wladimir Klitschko? Remember what these same dudes were saying about Tony prior to the fight? They were licking his ass to hell, know why? Because it was an announced victory for the talentless Klitschko and in these occasions you make them look better to justify the fight. Do we really want this? A WWE type of division filled with hating little figures who really don't care about boxing so much? Do we really want one one unification bout to take place every 10 years? No, no, no, and no. So i say **** that and **** all those who are trying to block fresh exciting fighters like Haye, who will at least put up a show and isn't afraid of no man. He is good for boxing, believe it!

                WTF!!!

kid hasn't even fought yet, but can't stop tossing around BS about how great he is and how he will easilly take over the HW division.

He says he wants to fight Rahman, so why can't he get Rahman signed yet? it's not like there is a better option for the veteran.

David Haye as a heavyweight is nothing more than a media creation. You can't fault him for wanting to bullS*#T his way into a big money fight and it certainly won't be the last time ignorant fight fans fall for it and pay to see it. I figure if Haye's handlers can't get a big money fight right off he'll fight one of the old past their prime heavyweights out there and if hey doesn't win by knockout he'll win the decision no matter how the fight goes. If he wins a gift you'll here how he went in the fight with some undisclosed major injury and still pulled it out. He'll then proclaim he's the best heavyweight out there and will then get his title shot. As bad as the heavyweight division is today I just can't see Haye winning against even the weak jawed Klitchko without some help from the judges. It wouldn't surpise me to see Haye knocked cold from Klitchko's jab since he's been hurt, beaten and knocked out by far less experienced, much smaller and older fighters. His new career has been built on his mouth and not in the ring. I'd almost love to see this guy in the ring with Samual Peter and have him hit Peter with the so called famous Haye maker, watch Peter smile and them knock him out cold!!

He was supposed to announce his oppenent a while ago, but didn't. Haye has lost steam, his name has flickered out of peoples minds because he has waited too long.
