this will be a good fight for both guys, mares the young buck trying to prove his caliber and the old veteran trying to show that he still got it...

hope the winner get a shot at a bigger $$$ fight...

Good match that can even be better if Penalosa takes a bit more risks and lets go of more punches.

Mares, who has quick hands and moves well, can outpoint Penalosa if the latter stays as economical in his offense as he was in both the Ponce de Leon and Gonzalez fights.

But the Arias and Marchiano fights showed that Mares can be hit flush by good counters. Arias and Marchiano just didn't have the power to make any of those they landed have any kind of consequence.

Counter-punching is where Penalosa finds home and he has explosives in his attic and basement. If he uses those more *******ly than he did against Ponce...Well, that should test Mares' chin and, yes, his liver area.
