    to fight Roy Jones

Who definitely is out of his prime and has been ruined since his KOs

Hopkins who is at age 43 cant exchange or throw a combo without being winded the rest of the round.

I say as many other boxing fans will also say he avoided the fight. Joe was even considering it and wanted it to happen before the Lockett fight.

Instead he is currently fighting Roy Jones who couldnt KO a fat uot of shape Tito trinidad.
Firstly, calm down and take a breath. Calzaghe hasn't ducked Pavlik yet, because he isn't retired yet and even if he does 'retire', I wouldn't rule the fight out anyway.

I think any true boxing fan would rather see Calzaghe-Pavlik than Calzaghe-Jones, and I think every boxing fan would agree that it wouldn't mean much for Calzaghe to beat Jones. It is however understandable that Calzaghe prefers the Jones fight. Calzaghe has been chasing a fight with Jones since he became a champion, he's just never been in a position to get one without making huge sacrifices and Warren would have never allowed that. To finally get to fight his idol and get a huge payday beats fighting a new champion for less money in Calzaghe's eyes, particularly because he considers his legacy set already and particularly because Calzaghe is bitter that he couldn't get the big fights when he was young.

Calzaghe-Pavlik will happen anyway and unless Calzaghe gets old overnight, he'll win a fairly comfortable decision.

Thats a very bad break down you just did my friend

-- Hopkins or Pavlik -- Joe didn't duck Pavlik to fight Hopkins .. pavlik had to rematch Taylor when Joe vs Hopkins was signed .. pavlik didn't call out anyone then he had to prove he can beat Taylor again.

So far Joe choice was to fight the bigger P4P Hopkins then wait for the smaller pavlik to come up ... i call that takeing the bigger challenge you call that ducking ??

-- Jones or pavlik -- Joe is at the top he has lots of great options not just pavlik .. he has enough money and he feels that he proved all he had to prove and wants to fight his last fight

Jones is at light heavy with Joe there is no need to meet at catch weight but most importantly that Jones is a legend even if he got KOed 10 times he will always be a legend and a great name on your record.

now what would it mean for Joe to beat the smaller MiddleWeight champ plus pavlik is a super star now just like Taylor was last year but today a win over Taylor is not that big of a deal ..

i mean what if Joe beats Pavlik then Kessler beats pavlik OR what if kessler beat pavlik before Joe why would joe fight Pavlik then .. so shouldn't pavlik go try to beat kessler first to put him self at least in a possition to call out Joe.

now the part you didn't mention in your break down is Pavlik ducking kessler ??? kessler is dieing for this fight by the way

in other words should the MW champ move up and fight the SMW champ then call out the LHW champ OR is it just like the MW champ can call out anyone he wishes like the cruiserweight champ and if he dosen't fight him the he is ducking him ?

ok now that Joe vs Jones is signed and will happen for sure is pavlik going to sign to fight kessler ?

i'll replay to your replay tomorrow buddy im going to bed

Warren just has a sore ass over getting fired and he's trying to stir up enough **** to convince Zaggs to take him back. Personally, I think he should've fired the dirty bastard the second his contract was up...and not just fired him, but berated him publicly and let the world know what a rotten little **** the guy really is...and then put a few lead left hands into the middle of his ****ing face.

But then I've never been overly fond of promoters, personally.

Your answers are typical to that of a fanboy nuthugger.

Joe by beating Pavlik would seal himself in the Hall of Fame. It would be the toughest fight of his career. Screw Kessler he couldnt KO Librado Andrade after landing every single punch. The guy is britains biggest hype job to make calzaghes career prior to hopkins seem better than it really is. Kessler isnt fighting anybody tough throughout the rest of his career because bottomline he isnt that good.

Pavlik said he would move up to LHV to fight Calzaghe so there wouldnt be a catch weight.

Joe Calzaghe is the only guy with excuses not to fight Pavlik. Its sad and a pretty clear case of duck run and retire,.

Mark my words Calzaghe wants to go undefeated, he wont challenge pavlik ever.

If a Calzaghe/Pavlik fight happened, Zaggs, in all likelihood, would win by comfortable decision, probably winning nearly every round after the 4th or 5th, much like the Kessler fight. It wouldn't be embarrassing for Pavlik, but it would demonstrate how young and inexperienced he is compared to Calzaghe.

And after the fight, Pavlik would suddenly become an exposed bum with nothing but bums and lucky wins on his resume. It would do little, or nothing at all, for Calzaghe's "legacy", at least on this forum where maybe 95% of the asswipes of the entire world congregate, though the rest of the sane boxing world would call it a great win.

Jones may not be the best fight for his resume, but it's sure as hell the right one for his wallet, which is by far the more important consideration at this point in his career.

By the way, if he didn't have another fight from this point on, he'd probably be guaranteed a place in the boxing HOF. Whether you agree or not, being an undefeated reigning champ for as long as he has been is an accomplishment worth of a HOF spot.

              P.S.
You guys need to learn a new buzzword. "Nuthugger" has about run its course.

Anyone who knows boxing knows Kelly Pavlik would most likely Beat an Old Joe Calzaghe.

What the **** makes Joe calzaghe so amazing is what I wanna know.

He eeked by a waaay past prime Hopkins and thats pretty much about it. Eubank and Kessler couldnt hold Kellys Jock
