What the ****! Has Barrera been smoking that crack pipe again.
The last few fights I've watched of Barrera he's look a shot fighter. He's obviously thinking of the money rather then worrying about his respect he had for a great carrier. He's he gunna get a lot more losses added to his record and as time goes on people won't be talking about what a great fighter he was.
    They never learn.

he would probably enter the lightweight division.

wow thats uhhhh...WAY too long a time for him to fight.

Honestly, he has the ability to stick in the division, but for how long? his body is already worn down and I think he even fired his original training team for the last Pacquiao fight and brought on his brother instead...which was a bad move.
What the hell is he thinking...I hope he mostly gets non-damaging fights, he already has trouble fighting down the stretch because of his accumulated damage over the years.

I have a horrible feeling that Morales is gonna become unretired too, and were going to end up with a 4th Barrera Morales...terrible, terrible.

I hope his finances are secure, I'd hate to see him take unnecessary punishment from younger fighters.

talk about something that vegas wouldnt take odds on.

I dont think anyone could have seen Barrera not only coming BACK but signing a 5-year deal.

                  5 YEARS!

at this stage of his career and all his fights with morales, pacquiao, marquez, etc. etc. etc. you have to wonder what does he have left.

he's certainly past his prime but who knows how far past he is???

i thought he put up a good effort in his last 2 fights against pacquiao and marquez but you have to wonder if he has enough to hang with nate campbell and other top lightweights.

I think he has enough to be competitive and POSSIBLY WIN...unified champ? no.

                  win another title? yes.

i think he has just enough left to where he can win but it HAS TO BE within the next 12-16 months...its now or never.

                  i wish barerra good luck.

Expect Marquez to leave GBP, too. Makes more sense for Marquez since he moved up to get another crack at Pacquiao yet, Delahoya took his opponet. Marquez must feel like **** seeing how Delahoya screwed him over like this.

Barrera like most fighters that have money, are in it for legacy. He wants that 4th division title and thinks he can still get it. He'll be fighting for Showtime this time around. We'll see if boxing fans will support him like they did with a faded Chavez.

Barrera is my favorite fighter and i hoped he would retire after the second pacquiao fight. Although i feel he could still be successful, 5 years w/ Don King is just ridiculous.
Barrera could still box but he can't brawl like he used to. This is bad news.
