The WBC has given Tarver until Friday to sign the contract to fight Briggs or be stripped. I think Tarver should fight Briggs so he can keep his belt and get paid 2.2 million for the fight. Then go for Glenn Johnson. Plus If he beats Briggs first he'll make more money against Glenn.
WBC is gonna strip Tarver!!

Nobody cares about alphabet belts anymore once they've already won them. Tarver will beat the other guy who beat Roy, then look for a big money fight. People will recognize Tarver as the champ until he gets beat. Plus, when he beats Johnson, he'll have the IBF belt. -

Without him, 175 lbs is a non-factor. Rico Hoye was exposed; Glen Johnson loses as much as he wins lately; Fabrice Tiozzo is a paper champ; Roy's inactive; Dariusz Michalczewski should be; Calzaghe is probably going to hang out at 168
Tarver can do what he wants. He's the only guy that matters at light heavyComment

I agree, but the Johnson fight was bad for him because it made it look like anybody can beat Roy at this point. Before, Tarver was the lone miracle man.Originally posted by neils7147933Without him, 175 lbs is a non-factor. Having said that, there's only one way Tarver can change this perception, and that's to knock Johnson to the floor himself. Given his age, I bet he'd want to do that soon and make himself enough of a star to cash in on it for a while. I say he takes the Johnson fight and forgets about the belt.Comment

Niiice, very nice, I agree completely, although I must admit, I give Johnson a better chance than most against Tarver. Johnson now has a taste of fame and I think he will work harder than Tarver to get more of it....Originally posted by neils7147933Without him, 175 lbs is a non-factor.
