Boxing is mma's father, Boxing is the prototype, mma is the protege. They try making a ppv just like a Boxing ppv, dont they even get Lennon jr to do the ring announcements? mma guys try making ring entrances like big time boxers with the music, all of the theatrics, they come in wearing masks like ive seen boxers over the years do (bhop and others). Ive checked ufc out, and even the ref comes out with a mills lane like comment "lets get it" or something similar before the fight. there is nothing unique about mma, they have followed the blueprint from the sport of boxing

lets get this clear here. MMA ***its.

I always see claims of MMA fighters having "different styles" and "multiple styles", but everytime I watch it (especially the top fighters) IT ALL LOOKS THE SAME.

their boxing is basically wild haymakers, that never land, and that a pro boxer would easily dodge and capitalize off of.

a ground game could easily be avoided by GOOD FOOTWORK. which is something NO MMA FIGHTERS HAVE.

I always see MMA fighters trying to do kicks...mui thai, karate, whatever the **** crap it is....and its just not practical in a fight. when your foot leaves the ground, your OFF BALANCE. when i see these "leg jabs" or "leg checks", that would be my time to come in with a combo because THEY ARE OFF BALANCE and the biggest point of all..........THEIR HANDS ARE ALWAYS DOWN.

the points will keep coming...i especially want ******s like "nucklehead" and "gully gad" to read this because I eat kids like you for breakfast...you ****in corny ass affliction t-shirt wearing wanna-be. go lift some more weights and do some more drugs, I can tell your a suburban boy wishing you were a fighter.

huge point here...MMA fighters are TOO HEAVY for their height...these guys aren't in their natural weight class...you see guys 5'6 all bulked up to 180 pounds. they use wrestling tactics, so therefore they need to have weight and more muscle which is very unnecessary for REAL fights. the speed of MMA fighters is downright laughable and PATHETIC.....7 times outta 10 when I watch MMA....the fighters have LOVE HANDLES on their waist for christ sake!! are you kidding me???

i also love how people who defend the mma-side of this argument think "boxers are 1 dementional". are you kidding me punk-boy?? do you really think just because a boxer masters his skill, doesn't mean he can't STOMP YOU FACE IN ON THE GROUND!????...you think it doesn't mean a boxer doesn't know how to CHOKE SOMEONE??? dude think about a heavyweight boxers hand strength and hand size alone, they'll grab your atoms apple outta your throat...hows that for a "choke hold".

also, such a hilarious point here....MMA fighters paint their FINGERNAILS LIKE GIRLS!!! i've seen top MMA fighters with pink and black fingernails.
I can't stand the ugly tattoos...I have spent 1,000's on good tattoos from the same artist in my life and I have never seen such corny tattoos on these MMA guys....some stars, some koy fish (i know, they are really loving the asian life-style)....and like mayweather said...SOME BLUE HAIR MOHAWK.
clearly MMA is just capitalizing on RICH WHITE BOYS THAT WANT TO WATCH SOMETHING "EXTREME". (and i'm white)

its clear that MMA is amateur. if you want me to prove any more points...my gun is loaded. I box...and I take it to the streets against "UFC arm-chair quarterbacks"....I always win...most the time I just get out of the way of some "football tackle" (thats what ju-jitsu translates to in english) and they land face first on the ground...and i stomp their ribs and face til they are unconscious or say "please".

      you'll never win...want more????

Nah. I'm just waiting for you to tell me to get off your lawn.

I'd listen to your arguement, but you to much of a McDojoist and are too worried about cosmetics to be even worth my time.

That pretty much sums it up. You take the grace and skill out of boxing and all you got left is a mma.

I disagree. You see a natural double into a slam? The flow into the double is just a thing of beauty.

Don't forget about throws. You see a perfectly executed throw, you'd wish you had a camera.

The same can be said when a submission gets put together or when the crowd can see the sub coming two steps ahead.

I used to watch MMA regularly when Pride was around and I never watched it for it's grace and skill just for it's violence. Once the violence got old for me, I found it harder and harder to watch now it's just boring for me. I tried to watch Penn vs ST Pierre and fell asleep.

Grappling, throws and submisions are boring and the skill factor is not really that great. I rather watch a master of the beautifull art of boxing, than a jack of all trades.
