    Why Doesn't Williams Fight Santos?

Both are needlessly chasing a man they already beat (barely on both occasions) instead of chasing other challenges. What a double standard, seeing the hell Margarito is getting for fighting Clottey again.

Santos-Williams is a great style match-up, one that I think favors Santos. It'll be interesting to see who backs up in this one. And both have enough boxing skills to fall back on. However, I think someone would get KO'ed.

I'd like to see it, perhaps early '09.

No one has any thoughts on this match? That's one of the best fights that can be made in the sport today and it can be made. Has anyone been watching Santos??

It would be an interesting match, I'm just not so sure how exciting it would be. It would have to happen in Puerto Rico to make any live money. If Williams decides to move up in weight and there is some TV money, it definitley could happen.

        Because he'd be beaten up.

Well because Margarito has the momentum at the moment, and a belt. Both want it and since they've beaten him before, why the hell not pursue him? In their eyes it's another win because they've beaten him before and they'll get the attention on them since it's currently on Marg for beating Cotto. I really believe Marg is living a 15 minutes of fame type of thing because his future opponents either have already beaten him or got a real good shot at it. He won't last too long as champion me thinks.

Santos style is boring and he's not known to the casual boxing fan.I thought Margo won their last fight in P.R. and that because Marg. wasnt as good as he is now. There's no big money involved fighting Santos, just the belt in one of the weakest divisions in boxing.

Who the fk cares about the Rican Santos. We're talking 147lbs.

Margarito needs to stop ducking PWilliams.

Who is we? If you're talking 147lbs. then go talk it. Wasn't Williams recently negotiating to fight at 160? Hasn't he fought at 160 before?

I don't find Santos' style boring at all, not his latest one against Alcine. He's well-schooled and carried KO power. And his chin is inconsistent. What's not to like?

There's no big money in fighting Santos...just like there's no big money fighting Williams. They may have no choice.

Isn't Williams set to fight his next fight at 154? Why not Santos?
