I recall Rivera a southpaw or he just swtichs southpaw, he did so agianst Whitiker and was very effective.

He tattoed Bredal but Bredahl was one took mf. I belive i recall he and his brother won a title later on.

If anything clueless arum should mention the molina fight. I belive he too was a southpaw and this was at lightweight.

Molina was an orthodox fighter. Like most fighters who depend heavily on their left, Oscar is uncomfortable against southpaws. Arum isn't wrong about that and he knows first hand that Oscar doesn't like fighting them. If you watch the interview after the Bredahl fight he said "no more lefties". Since then, there was only Whitaker and Camacho.

DLH has problems with fast, slick guys regardless of their stances, Pacquiao isn't a slick boxer.

Seriously.. What can Pacman do to Oscar. Oscar has fought Trinidad, Vargas, Hopkins, Mayweather. Guys with REAL power and/or speed. When Oscar gets hit, he will laugh it off and stop Pacman like Margarito did Cotto.

I think so too. Unless Pacman wears bricks in his gloves

I thought he beat Whitaker pretty convincingly and the size disparity there was nothing compared to what this will be. Plus Whitaker is a lot harder to hit than Pacquiao, who is going to be taking big left hooks from the opening bell. The more I think about this, the more I think there is no way in hell Pacquiao should make it out of 2 rounds.

I don't agree with you guys here.

Manny is good at slipping punches, I can't see an old weight drained DLH landing left hooks at will.

Manny may not be as good as Whitaker when it comes to defence but this Oscar we will be watching on Dec. 6 is no where as good offensively and defensively as he was in the Whitaker fight.

So I belive that balances that out.

When it comes to Oscars size advantage people have to realise that size can go either for or against you.

If a smaller opponent gets on the inside against you and stays there you can get ****ed up real bad.

Also remember that smaller opponents on the inside will have an easier time slipping your punches considering that their heads are closer to your belt line, so if they choose to duck they can end up ducking just above the knee level and slip any punches you throw at them.

As good as Manny is he's not slipping punches and bulldoggin' people inside. When Oscar uses his jab Manny's not going to be able to dodge it and counter like Mayweather. And as far as true in-fighting....well Nate Campbell is probably the best at that at 135. And I don't think he'd be able to stand inside with Oscar either.

This fight is a complete mis-match. I see people are getting the Gatti-Mayweather syndrome. Allowing hype to make believe Pacquaio has a chance. Just like they did Gatti.
